Pear Blue Cheese Flatbread

The perfect balance. Pears and blue cheese compliment each other so well and it really shows in this flatbread recipe. One of the easiest flatbreads you can make when you don’t have much time and it’s perfect as an appetizer, lunch or dinner!

The fresh, peppery arugula also complements the bold flavors of the pear and blue cheese combo and the pecans give it a delicious crunch. Oh, and if you love sweet and savory flavors as much as I do, then you’ll be pleased to know that a drizzle of honey was also added.

Let’s get to it!

What you’ll need:

1 flatbread or pizza crust

1/2 cup of blue cheese crumbles

1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 tbsp of olive oil

1 ripe pear, thinly sliced

a handful of fresh arugula

1/4 cup of pecans (candied pecans would be great too!)

1 tsp of honey, to taste

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place flatbread or pizza crust on your baking sheet.

Rinse your pear and slice it into thin pieces. You want the pear slices to be thin enough to soften when they are baked.

Add mozzarella cheese to your flatbread and place your slices any which way you would like.

Drizzle olive oil over the top of pears and cheese.

Add blue cheese crumbles, pecans, and arugula.

Drizzle honey over top.

Bake for 10-15 mins or until cheese is melted and crust is golden.

Enjoy!
